ISSG participated in IOSEC 2026, the International Workshop on Information & Operational Technology Security, held in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience (IEEE CSR 2026).
Since its first edition in 2018, IOSEC has provided a forum for researchers, practitioners, and European research initiatives to exchange knowledge and explore emerging challenges in Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) security.
This year’s workshop brought together contributions spanning cybersecurity and resilience, including secure and resilient software development, AI and machine learning in cybersecurity, vulnerability and risk assessment, cybersecurity certification, threat intelligence, identity management, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
ISSG’s Kostas Lampropoulos served as Workshop Chair and contributed to the joint IOSEC & CRIRM training session with a presentation on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and Cybersecurity Act (CSA), addressing the evolving European cybersecurity regulatory landscape.
IOSEC 2026 was supported by a strong network of collaborating European research projects and initiatives, including CUSTODES EU Project, CONSOLE Project, 6G-XCEL, CONSENTIS Project, CyberSecDome – EU project, SAND5G EU project, CURIUM Project, Natwork Project, INTACT Horizon, and SYNAPSE Project, alongside p-NET Emerging Networks & Vertical Applications.
Their involvement highlights the value of collaboration across European research initiatives in addressing current and emerging cybersecurity challenges and strengthening Europe’s cyber resilience.
